Alright, another addition, thanks Brad.

I'll have to check out that Cobra lyric.  Others do the same!

(They just anounced MMJ on Conan at the beginning and the crowd went effing bananas!) ;)

Cobra lyric under dispute...
Instead of the "Car Chairs" verse in the 'How Come' act, today I thought it sounded like, Too many conch shells and not enough beads...

I thought it was:

"Too many crotches and not enough knees."

josta dreams and bitter hands

there's just no room
there's just no way out tonight
there's just no way out
thank you too jim

here's what I hear. the last line is a little indistinct, so let's get some other opinions.

Somebody Cares About The Maestro

close the door
don't wait up for me
for me

you with him
i can't swim away
but i'll watch awhile...

Nothing 2 Me

Everytime I think I find a reason to go on
I look inside at your sunken eyes and I find that I'm wrong

I would laugh and I would breathe(read?)
but I never said you were nothing to me
ahhhh, you were nothing to me...

...ahhhhh you were nothing to me (with repetition and drum machined handclaps)...

Not sure if this is exactly right thread, but Jim sings Come Closer a little different at xmas time..

So I slave away
On the floor and wall for a day
bringing the gifts on your sleigh
get emotional each time we say your name

oh santa you look so strong
what held you that you took so long?
you told me that you'd bring me a gift
there's something left you gotta give

how long can you stay?
I've been waiting all year
just to see you

come closer
come closer
come closer
come closer

so today...
so today, I won't go anywhere for a change
snow on the roof for your sleigh
good at holding back the countin away the days

oh santa you look so strong
what held you that you took so long?
they told me you'd bring me a gift
there's something left you gotta give

how long can you stay?
I've been waiting all year
just to see you

come closer
come closer
come closer
come closer
come closer
come closer
come closer
come closer
I was never that good with the words, anyway

Good Call!  I think I like that version even better than the original.  The sleigh bells and the whole mood of the song is sweet. I will add that to the "Other" section.  Thanks!

Lead Me Father - Is a Johnny Cash song

And if by "Bright New Morning" you mean "New Morning" from the xmas EP, it is by Nick Cave, here is that

you know, it may seem so obvious to those who love this band even more than I do..but these songs found their way into me lately, and while I love this band SO much, had some rough recordings and barely the ear to figure out the words..thanks for helping me to find em..seriously..thanks ALOT.. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

I just added my interpretation of R.I.P.V.G.

Now that just leaves three.....

XMAS FIASCO

I Just Wanted To Say

Xmas Time Is Here Again

RUN THRU SINGLE

Breathin

I'll do the Xmas songs later if no one beats me to it.   But I challenge all of you to come up with the breathin' lyrics.  Even if you make it up.  It will be funny.  Don't read anyone elses version until you are done, so you won't be influenced and let's see what we get.
