Too many covers. How bout some deep cut original tunes?

Splat, totally agree.  Don't get me wrong, anything they play live is awesome.  But personally, I would have loved a little

At Dawn
The Bear
Evelyn
Hell
Stangulation
Where to Begin

and maybe a How Could I Know

That would have been magical to this Jacket fan...

I haven't seen Jim with his omnichord in a while. Does he still use it? I could be completely wrong

Was surprised there wasn't as much collaboration this year aside from Pres Hall and Lucius. Would have been epic to have Gary Clark Jr play on something like Honest Man.
Mona Lisa must'a had the highway blues, you can tell by the way she smiles.

Nights 1 and 3 slayed. Many extended jams on night three. War begun was life affirming/changing.

Hey I'm positive I'd be more than satisfied had I been there, but re: original tunes, we didn't miss much. And I'm 100% sure those covers were great, fucking epic even, but if I saw an Oxen or By My Car mixed in, I would hate I wasn't there so much more.

Edit: yeah night 1 was the heat
You need it.  That's for sure.

If someone runs into any of the guys after the set tonight, PLEASE ask them about their touring plans for 2017!!!! Any further details would be HUGELY appreciated!

Take with a grain of salt but random rumors included:

-Possible 3 night run at Red Rocks over Labor Day weekend
-2 shows at Ascend in Nashville
-Headlining Friday at The Peach Festival
-Not playing Mountain Jam

No major tour in 2017

Because they will be busy in the studio creating new music :-)

Unless phish skips dicks this year, which some rumors say they might, can't see mmj doing red rocks the same three days. Would seriously cut into their draw locally.

I think Phish mentioned there was no Fall tour this year.  Just the 13 shows at MSG

true, but the Dicks run has always been part of the summer tour for them. They definitely have a hold on the venue that weekend, whether or not they will exercise that hold we just don't know. Regardless, I highly doubt they both play in Denver the exact same three days. But...as long as one of them does, I will be there. If by some crazy chance they both do, well that will be a huge problem for me!

Mountain Jam is announcing lineup additions tomorrow. Despite reports to the contrary, still really, really hopin' MMJ is on there.

I've been holding my tongue as this is a criticism of OBH that I've articulated in the past BUT to pay thousands of dollars and not get a

Knot Comes Loose
I Needed It Most
By My Car

etc... is criminal. I have no doubt that everyone there is having a rollicking good time and I am undoubtedly jealous of anyone there but cmon man! Seriously...

Yeah, well, that's just like your opinion, man.
